Tag I'm it.

Tag I'm it. This is an interesting game, you are supposed to go to your six photo in your six folder and blog it. soooo but unfortunately the six photo is of my friend M who didn't want me to take a picture of her and she had her hand up covering her face so I had to do the fifth picture which is of two of my sisters at Abby's birthday just a month ago. They are eating cupcakes that I made and they look so good!!

My kids crack me up!

Mason with the most serious face was singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas"

We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year, Some stockings we bring to you and your kings, we wish you a merry Christmas and happy new year!

Last night Abby used "tinsil" to decorate a paper tree, she was astounded when she looked at her Grandmothers tree and shouted "Look Ni Ni decorated her tree with "sizzle"~!" Oh my gosh she makes me laugh so hard.

Crazy Christmas songs on TV

I have been watching a lot of recorded Christmas shows with the kids. Just tonight I heard

Garfield
"It's a good ol fashion Christmas down on the farm a little over eatin never did any harm!"

Uh ya tell that to my scale and the millions of overweight here in America! come on Garfield.

Santa is coming to town

"You sit on my lap, you have to pay with a kiss, tell me a secret you get a toy" Oh so creepy.

It was the seventies however so the other part of the lyrics are
"You have to give a little love to get a little love" hum ya, so you sit in an old mans lap, tell him a secret and give a little love for a toy!!!! CREEEPY.

I'm sure there is more I will be listening.......

Abbyism

Well the other night Abby asked me if we could watch

"The Roach that Stole Christmas"

You know she always gets things mixed up, often she still calls a port a potty a "porcupine potty" with this in mind I tried my best to figure out, finally I realized that it was

The Grinch that stole Christmas!

Nettie Oh Nettie

Nettie Oh Nettie

she has been home for about 5 months now. Wow, didn't realize it has been that long. Time has gone by so very fast it is unbelievable. Anyway she is really starting to talk alot! She says a lot of funny things.

Tonight I gave her a bath and put lotion on her afterward. It was a very strong scented lotion, ginger orange peel, I think. I rubbed a bit on her cheeks and she began to spit and sputter,
"Ah oh my goss dis is poison!" in amazmet, "Oh my goss you poisoned me!" now accusing me, she grabs it from my hand and points the hotel size bottle of lotion at me shaking her fist and accusing me of poisoning her. I about laughed my butt off.

It's beginning to feel alot like Christmas!

Look at her face. Both kids were dancing and shaking it to "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" very cute. If I knew how to upload video I could put that on there.
Evan and Mason, cousins

Lizzie and Abbie, cousins

This picture doesn't do the lights justice.

Judah posing. You can see the mischief in his eyes, I know you can.

We did our first Christmasie thingie just a few days ago. I can only wander what Nettie is thinking when she sees all the lights! This person decorates their house with like a million LED lights and a train that delivers candy canes. Nettie took the liberty of sneaking a handful of candy canes when no one was looking. Busted. Meanwhile Abbie is feeling bad Nettie didn't get any canes so she is very concerned and begs me to let her grab one for Nettie, Abbie takes one for her sister and then Nettie appears with a stash she was trying to sneak of the premises.

Thanksgiving, again

Our neighborhood is just so cool, every year for 6 years we have been celebrating together. This was our third annual second Thanksgiving. This is the little park next door to our house.

Just being silly.

All the neighborhood kids watch a movie on the wall of our other neighbor, while the adults enjoy a glass of wine and desert after a huge meal.

Judah found a little girlfriend.

Mason and his jungle cutter design

I know it looks kinda confusing but it was amazing the detail. Every little thing her drew had a purpose and it all made sense. The lines with all the dots are stabilizers, each guy has his own room with a pillow and a light. t was cute.
The triangles are tents of the enemy and he uses perspective to indicate the smaller ones are further away. There is even a guy on a chair and there is a little arrow that indicates his chair leans back.

Abbies birthday!!!

Look at my five year old!!

Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving in the house that I grew up in. It was beautiful and nostalgic. My sister hosted it and refuse to let me do anything but relax! All I was required to bring was some tupper ware for left overs!
Netties first Thanksgiving, we are having two more after this one! Can you believe it? Three Thanksgiving dinners in three days!

Judah handsome as ever.

The sky was so beautiful that day, just like I remember, those cloudy fall days, the ground still damp from rain. Life in the country cannot be beat!

This is what it is all about! My dad and his youngest grandbaby!

The kids had a blast jumping on their trampoline. See that barn? We used to live in it before the "big house" was built. My mom had all four of us girls in 1100 square feet for several years.

I had to get this one. Mason was mad because Abby could do a flip so he was pouting something terrible. You can see he has his back turned towards us, arms crosse, and stiff as a board even when being bounced he kept his fit going.

Ahh there is the boy we all know and love!

Gymnastics has been paying off! She got right on the trampoline and flipped, no problem I didn't even tell her to or show her how.

Nettie's idea of a flip

Judah bustin a move

My girls!

Home Birth and Life

Mason's cub scout Hockey night. He spent the night at the stadium. He doesn't look thrilled.
Look how cute he is. To be honest he cried when he left to go.

He got to shoot a puck.

Look how cute my hockey guy is!!

I had the opportunity almost five years ago to give birth to my darling daughter Abigail at home. She was a big one wieghing in at 9 1/2 pounds. The birth was a normal one without complication as most births are. Generally it is when you have interventions that things start to get complicated. I labored in a blow up pool in my bedroom filled with hot water. It was wonderful. The whole birth was about 7 hours, that's it. The end was a bit hard as she got stuck for a few minutes, but in the end it was glorious. I had four generation of women by my side and my daughter was prayed in to this world by my faithful sisters. I would do it again in a heart beat.

So Abbie is nearly five, the only bad thing is I forgot what day she was born. In all confusion I thought it was the 26 of November for a whole year only realizing that it was acutally the 25! I had to look back at her birth certificate to confirm. Well I have done it again. I am not sure, I think it is the 25 but what if it is the other way around? Two weeks go by and I really don't know. I finally asked my sister in law and she said it was the 25th. So that is what I am going with. I think.

I really cannot believe we have a five year old girl in our midst. Here are some pictures of life in general, maybe I can get this thing to work.

HaHa I had the remote control!!!!!!

Poor Gary was subjected to my power over the TV tonight. What did I choose to watch? How about this fascinating documentary on Free Birthing, for those of you who are not enlightened do allow me to explain....

Free Birthing is basically totally unassisted birth at home. No midwife, no doctor, nothing! I know crazy and I gave birth at home but..... interesting, as most crazy things are interesting. Anyway I thought my poor husband was going to loose it when this larger women, completely pregnant and well, not wearing clothes, was shown giving birth (plopping a baby) while her "partner" looked on. I put the show on pause so that I could catch my breath I was laughing so hard. Not at the woman of course, I have deep respect for anyone brave enough to pop out a baby with no help and then clip it's cord and take total charge. I was laughing at Gary's reaction, you should have seen the horror on his face while he begged me to turn it to the military channel. He did however draw the lines on the following documentary "The Pregnant Man" He grabbed the remote and I let him feel manly again by watching "Fight Club" so with enough good ol' fashion violence, blood and fighting he was at peace and ready for sleep. No nightmares for him. I can't say the same thing for me as that movie was disturbing.
